Lyn Carnegie
Basingstoke Training Centre Link Tutor
When Lyn was at school, the Deputy Head suggested she would make an excellent science teacher and encouraged her to apply for a degree in Education and Biological Science at Chelsea College London. She has not moved far from the classroom since and has actively sort positions that have enabled her to progress in her career whilst continuing to instil a love of Science and life-long learning in her students.
Keen to share her passion for teaching, Lyn has worked closely with PGCE and SCITT providers in Hampshire in roles such as being a Mentor and as a Professional mentor. She has been the Science Subject Tutor for the Basingstoke Alliance SCITT for the last 13 years.
Lyn is very aware of the difference a teacher can make to a student’s life and is keen to ensure that today’s pupils have the best educators to inspire and encourage them.
