Meet the Team

From an early age Nicky knew she wanted to be a teacher of PE. She loved sport particularly athletics and was inspired by her own teachers. This led Nicky to study at Manchester Metropolitan University.   After gaining her BA Hons with (QTS) in PE and Business studies, she started her teaching career just over 20 years ago in Essex. Nicky moved to Hampshire in 2007 and was Head of PE for several years in her previous school and is now based at Testbourne Community School. Alongside working at Testbourne, over the last 4 years Nicky was part of the Basingstoke SCITT team, mentoring and guiding the PE teacher trainees through their training. She found the role highly rewarding, being able to see each individual grow in confidence, develop their knowledge and start their own life journey makes her very proud.

Nicky is very much looking forward to working as part of the i2i team,  she is passionate about sharing her experience and skills with the next generation of PE students to support them to become outstanding teachers.
