Meet the Team

Carolyn started her career in education as an LSA at a school in Hampshire in 2003. It was the foresight of her headteacher at the time that lead to her to complete her teacher training. She then quickly gained a place on the government’s Fast Track scheme at the time for aspiring school leaders. She has since been a KS3 English Lead and Head of English. In addition to her current teaching role, she also leads CPD sessions at Weydon. 

Carolyn takes great pride and enjoyment in supporting staff at a variety of stages in their careers. She believes that one of the greatest privileges of being a teacher, is witnessing the impact you can have on many people’s lives. She is now in her second year as English Subject Lead Mentor and says that each session and interaction with a trainee teacher also teaches her a great deal about the profession and her own teaching practice. There is always more to learn, which she really enjoys.
