John Winter
CEO WMAT and i2i SCITT Accounting Officer
John has worked in education for 38 years and at educational leadership level for 26 years.
John has been CEO of Weyden Multi Academy Trust for 4 years and was previously was Headteacher of Weydon School for 11 years. He is also a National Leader of Education, member of the NCTL 2015 Fellowship Commission, School Improvement Partner, Chair of TFN, and Chair of Surrey Maths Hub and has previously been a member of The Surrey Forum and Chair of The Surrey Academies group.
Under John's leadership, Weydon School moved from the bottom 5% of schools nationally in 2006 (E PANDA) to achieving an Ofsted Outstanding in 2009. It is now one of the most oversubscribed schools in south west Surrey. In 2015, Weydon school set up the i2i SCITT and John remains the SCITT's Accounting Officer.
