ESSENTIAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The i2i Teaching Partnerhsip 'SCITT' PGCE is a postgraduate programme– you will require:

  • An honours degree from a UK Higher Education Institution.
  • You will also require GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths for Secondary Teacher Training
  • QTS skills tests Literacy and Numeracy

We accept applications from candidates who are currently studying for any of the above qualifications; however any offers made would be conditional on achieving the required grade. We may be able to offer Subject Knowledge Enhancement to those whose degree is not directly applicable to the subject they wish to teach.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

You have a strong commitment to Secondary Education and have spent time working (either paid or in voluntary capacity) in an education setting. We understand that for many, this isn't possible. In these circumstances, you will have taken steps to gain enough school experience to have a clear understanding of how a modern secondary school works, the challenges and the joys.

If you are enthusiastic and determined, and aspire to become an excellent teacher then we would like to hear from you.
