Train to teach event

Where: Weydon School, Medici

When: Tuesday 15th March 6.30pm-8pm

More and more people are considering a career in teaching. If you want to find out more about how you might train to teach, this event is for you. It is is open to all members of the public in other careers, university students, graduates who have not yet settled on a career and to those already working in schools. It has been scheduled at short notice to meet the needs of those people unable to attend our morning events and others will follow for those unable to attend this one.

The informal information event will consist of a presentation followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion, as well as talking to current trainees and teachers. We would love to have the opportunity to talk to you about training to teach and the event will be especially helpful if you want to find out more about the following:

  • What your next steps should be
  • What the different routes into teaching are
  • How you could train locally through Weydon and our partnership, plus gain a PGCE
  • How you gain school experience prior to making an application
  • What bursaries and finance is available
  • You want to find out how to apply
  • Employment by the partnership on completion of training

If any of these aspects would be useful to you, please sign up now by emailing Tammy Cresswell at . For further information about the programme, visit our web page and click on the link to teacher training.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
